After the Taliban took over power, they gave the U.S and their allies a deadline of 31 August 2021 to leave the country.

Here is an alphabetical list of the countries that evacuated people from Afghanistan since the Taliban took over power.

AUSTRALIA – According to Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Australia had evacuated 4,100 people, including over 3,200 citizens and Afghans with Australian visas, and some coalition partners.

AUSTRIA — According to Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, 109 people with Austrian citizenship, residency, or work permits have been evacuated.

Morrison added that not all the Australian visa holders could be evacuated before the 31 August deadline.

BELGIUM – According to Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, 1,400 people were evacuated.

BRITAIN – According to the defence ministry, 15,000 people have been evacuated since the Taliban.

CANADA – According to the defence staff General Wayne Eyre, 3,700 Canadian and Afghan citizens have been evacuated.

DENMARK – According to its defence ministry, Denmark has airlifted about 1,000 people.

FRANCE – The French Defence Ministry, France has evacuated nearly 3,000 people, including 2,600 Afghans.

GERMANY – According to a spokesman for the foreign office in Berlin, the German has evacuated 5,347 people, including 4,100 Afghans.

HUNGARY – Defence Minister Tibor Benko, 540 people, including Hungarian citizens and Afghans.

INDIA – India has evacuated 565 people from Afghanistan, including Indian citizens and Afghan Sikhs, and Hindus.

IRELAND – According to Ireland’s foreign ministry, it had evacuated 36 Irish citizens.

ITALY – According to defence ministry, Italy has evacuated 5,011 people, including 4,890 Afghans.

NETHERLANDS – According to the government, it had evacuated 2,500 people from Afghanistan, but about 1,600 of them were brought to the Netherlands.

NEW ZEALAND – The government said that at least 276 New Zealand nationals, permanent residents, their families, and other visa holders were evacuated.

POLAND – According to Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Poland has evacuated about 900 people.

QATAR – Qatar said on Thursday it had helped evacuate more than 40,000 people to Doha.

SWEDEN – Sweden has said that a total of 1,100 people had been evacuated, including all locally employed embassy staff and their families.

SPAIN – According to the government, Spain evacuated 1,898 people including Spaniards and Afghans who had worked with Western countries.

SWITZERLAND – According to the foreign ministry, Switzerland initially repatriated 387 people, but later evacuated Swiss nationals and some others who are working for international organizations.

TURKEY – According to Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkey has evacuated at least 1,400 people from Afghanistan, including about 1,000 Turkish citizens.

UKRAINE – Ukraine evacuated more than 600 people including foreign journalists and rights activists.

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – The UAE said it had helped evacuate 36,500 people to date, including 8,500 coming to the UAE.

UNITED STATES – According to the U.S. government, 5,400 U.S. citizens have been evacuated since 14 Aug, 2021.
