It seems the so-called tree man has been abandoned by the world and scientists in particular.
Abul Bazadar has been nicknamed “the tree man” not because he likes or loves trees but because he is suffering from a kind of sickness whereby massive warts in form of trees grow from his hands and feet.
The so-called tree man tries to live a normal life but he is hardly accepted in the society in his country, Bangladesh. Doctors say he is suffering from Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).
There are said to be more than 100 types of HPV and all HPV infections can cause warts. About 30 types of HPV infection are capable of affecting the genital area.
Actually, this is a very rare sickness and doctors presently have no clue how to completely eradicate it because it has never been successfully cured anywhere in the world.´
Pictures of some people having this sickness can be very scary. The sickness is said to be common among men as opposed to women.
Abul Bajandra has been suffering from a rare disease called epidermodysplasia verruciformis, which causes wart-like lesions, for 20 years.
People who suffer from this sickness are often treated by their neighbors and communities as an outcast for fear of contamination. In other words, it is sad to say they have no place in society because society refuses to accept them.
Doctors have said that the disease is caused by a defect in the immune system, which increases susceptibility to human papillomavirus.
Unlike other sicknesses and diseases such as AIDS, HIV, Ebola, COVID-19, etc, no curative treatment against this sickness has been found yet and doctors are working hard all over the world to find the cure or a way of preventing it.
However, it is also sad that celebrities in our society are often quiet when it comes to this type of issue. Abdul, one day, the cure will come. Be happy and life goes on.
