The two-time Olympic 800m champion David Rudisha is one of the six people who survived a plane crash in south-east Kenya. Rudisha won 800m gold at London 2012 and at Rio 2016.
In August 2019, Rudisha took to his Twitter account to thank God after surviving a serious car accident when his SUV collided with a bus on a highway near Keroka in his native Kenya.
According to Rudisha, all was well close to seven or eight minutes into the flight when the engine of the plane suddenly went quiet.
The pilot decided to land the plane in a clear space, but the wings of the plane hit a tree before it landed on the ground.
However, five other people who were in the plane, also survived the crash and escaped with minor injuries.
