Bank robbers in Brazil decided to use hostages as human shields by strapping them to the top of their vehicles after a raid in the southern Brazilian city of Araçatuba.
According to the police, the heist was reportedly carried out by at least 20 armed robbers, but 3 of them were shot dead.
The robbers blocked roads with burning vehicles and also placed explosive devices across the city.
Schools were closed, and residents were urged to stay indoors until all the devices have been dismantled.
