UPDATE: In an attempt to divert attention from their invasion of Ukraine, Russia has claimed without proof that America has secret biological warfare labs in Ukraine.

Conspiracy theory specialists such as QAnon, Fox News hosts, and some supporters of ex-President Donald Trump are now spreading the so-called ‘Russia propaganda’ on social media. China has called for the claim to be investigated.

The Ukrainian SSR was a founding member of the Soviet Union in 1922. The country regained its independence in 1991, following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

According to the Republican conspiracy theory, Russia did not invade Ukraine when Trump was president because Russia was afraid of Trump. Why did they not also say that Russia did not invade Ukraine when Obama was president because Russia was afraid of Obama?

The fact is Putin didn’t have to lift a finger because he had Trump advancing his interests and goals for him. Trump, who already described NATO as obsolete, would have taken the US out of NATO to Putin’s delight.

Whatever the case may be, Russian President Vladimir Putin was going to attack Ukraine. Plan A was to help Trump get re-elected so he could pull the US out of NATO in order to weaken NATO. Unfortunately, plan A failed because President Biden defeated Trump in the US presidential election.

Apparently, plan B was to go ahead with the invasion and threaten a nuclear response if any country comes to Ukraine’s defense.

After recognizing two Russia-backed insurgent enclaves in the country’s east as independent states, Russia decided to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

After Russia started to bombard Ukrain, the U.S offered to evacuate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but Zelensky turned down the offer to evacuate him from the country by saying “I need ammunition, not a ride.” This statement alone has turned Zelensky into an international hero.

Apart from Trump who hailed Putin’s action in Ukraine by calling him a genius and savvy, most world leaders and institutions have decided to sanction Russia due to Putin’s attitude. Some of the sanctions are:

Russian Teams have been banned by FIFA from competing in any international sports.

Russia has been banned by the European Broadcasting Union from contesting in this year’s Eurovision Contest.

The International Judo Federation has suspended Putin’s status as Honorary President and Ambassador of the International Judo.

Italy has confiscated the yacht owned by Russia’s richest man who is believed to have supported Putin’s actions.

Mastercard and Visa said they would suspend operations in Russia. This will prevent Mastercards and Visa cards issued by Russian banks from working in other countries and block people with cards issued elsewhere from purchasing goods and services from companies in Russia. The UK has urged its citizens who are living in Russia to consider leaving.

Russia has had a series of peace talks with Ukraine, but there is still no light at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, Russia continues to bomb Ukraine during the peace talk.

According to Trevor Noah “Bombing a country during your peace talks is like bringing your side chick to couples therapy. Doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.”

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has opened a criminal probe on Russia.

Please share your thoughts with us in the comment section below this article because there are so many questions to be answered. For instance,

Why did Russia attack Ukraine? Is the invasion justifiable?

Why did Russia attack the power plant in Ukraine?

Do you think Russia is going to win this war?

Some people argue that Russia wanted to take control of Ukraine’s energy generation system, which would give it the power to shut down electricity to millions of Ukrainians.

The U.S reached out to the Chinese officials, urging them to intervene and stop Russia from attacking Ukraine. The Chinese officials rebuffed the Americans, saying they did not think an invasion was in the works.

The U.S. later discovered that China had shared this information with Russia, telling the Russians that the U.S was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions in Ukraine.

China seems to blame the U.S for Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Hua Chunying, the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, said at a news conference in Beijing that –

“When the U.S. drove five waves of NATO expansion eastward all the way to Russia’s doorstep and deployed advanced offensive strategic weapons in breach of its assurances to Russia, did it ever think about the consequences of pushing a big country to the wall?”

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that Russia had deliberately reduced its dependence on foreign imports to protect itself against sanctions. He said:

“The main goal…was to ensure complete self-sufficiency and complete import substitution if necessary,” said Peskov. “To a large extent this goal has been achieved.” “Undoubtedly there will be problems, but they will not be insurmountable,” he added.

Since other countries have refused to intervene militarily, does it mean the world is just going to sit back and watch Russia tearing Ukraine apart and finally taking control of it?

President Zelensky pleaded with the international community to do more, saying sanctions announced so far were not enough. He has asked for a ‘no-fly zone’ over Ukraine but his request was not granted.

  1. Trump claims Putin invaded Ukraine to rebuild the Soviet Union filled with love. “They had a country. You could see it was a country where there was a lot of love, and, you know, we’re doing it because somebody wants to make his country larger or he wants to put it back the way it was when actually it didn’t work very well.”

  2. Why are Russians leaving their country even when there is no war within their territory?

  3. Mike Pence is planning to join the 2024 presidential race. Maybe Putin will be afraid of him.

  4. We can’t be that naive. Can we? Why would anyone who is an American believe anything Russia says during war and more specifically , what Putin says when he is obviously making the accusations to justify his wrongful invasion of Ukraine?

  5. Tucker Carlson is the major fake news spreader in Fox news. He offen supports the wrong things Trump is doing.

  6. What Vladimir Putin is doing is a very shameful thing that will come back to hurt him and the Russians in the future.

  7. The invasion of Ukraine is described as a peacekeeping mission in the Russian televisions. The use of invasion to describe it is forbiden. They say Russians are fighting Nazis in Ukraine and the people believe it.
