For quite some time, The Girls Scouts of the USA has been struggling with falling memberships and sinking revenue. This week, they received their largest donation ever from a single person.
MacKenzie Scott, an American philanthropist and the ex-wife of Jeff Bezos, has donated the sum of 84.5 million Dollars to the organization.
The Girls Scouts leadership said that the money will help them recover from the pandemic which broke down membership.
Scott, who reportedly has a net worth of US$33.4 billion, owing to a 4% stake in Amazon, has donated 12 Billion Dollars to charities since 2019.
