President Joe Biden has addressed the U.N. General Assembly for the first time as president. He talked about U.S diplomacy amid tensions with allies.
This is the 76th Session of the U.N. General Assembly at U.N. headquarters in New York City.

Biden pledged to double the money the U.S. will spend each year to help developing countries tackle climate change. This will involve s $11 billion.
According to President Biden, “This will make the United States a leader in public climate finance.”
This has been welcomed around the world as a boost of confidence that the U.S. can finally be taken seriously as a climate leader.
Many people believe that Biden is not only making America great again, but he is making the whole world a better place for all of us.

Trump did not believe in climate change, therefore, he withdrew the U.S. from its global climate commitments.
Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Change Accord which was made collectively by the world leaders because he does not believe in science, and the dangers posed by global warming.
The Paris agreement was designed to keep the increase in global average temperature to well below 2 °C (3.6 °F) above pre-industrial levels because this would substantially reduce the risks and impacts of climate change.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also hailed Biden’s initiative by saying “The most important thing today has been your speech, Joe, to UNGA, where you made a commitment to supporting the world to adapt to climate change, doubling the American commitment.”
