According to Forbes, Jeff Bezos has been overthrown as the world’s richest person. French fashion tycoon Bernard Arnault is now the world’s richest person.
He has an estimated net worth of $186.3 billion, which is $300 million above Jeff Bezos.
However, the difference is just millions and not billions. Therefore, Bezos stands a chance of bouncing back to the number one spot any time in the future.
Forbes stated that “Arnault’s fortune has jumped from $76 billion in March 2020 to $186.3 billion on Monday, a massive rise of over $110 billion in the past 14 months, thanks to a pandemic-defying performance by his luxury group LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy).“
Another notable billionaire is Elon Musk, who has an estimated net worth of $147.3 billion.
UPDATE: Musk is the chief executive officer (CEO) of the electric-vehicle company, which recently joined the handful of companies valued at more than $1 trillion.
As at 27 November 2021, Musk was declared ‘The New Richest Man In The World.’ Musk now reportedly has almost 290 billion U.S Dollars, and Bezos now reportedly has 192 billion USD.
Bill Gates who has dominated the list of the world’s richest man for years is now said to be the 4th richest man in the world.
