Four dead in train accident in Germany – According to the German police, at least four people were killed and about 30 injured after a train derailed in Germany’s south-eastern state of Bavaria.
According to German rail operator Deutsche Bahn, the train was carrying many students and was heading to Munich when three carriages came off the tracks near Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Plane crash in California – According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Cessna 208B crashed while the pilot was trying to land at Oceanside Municipal Airport in Oceanside, California around 2 p.m. local time.
Two people (a man and a woman) were on board. The woman has been pronounced dead while the man is responding to treatment. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB ) are investigating the crash and will provide additional updates.
Plane crash in Nepal – A few days ago, a Tara Air flight with 22 people on board got missing in Nepal. The plane lost contact with the control tower five minutes before it was due to land at Jomsom.
There were 22 people on board (3 crew members and 19 passengers.) The passengers were sixteen Nepalis, four Indians, and two Germans.
Search for the victims resumed after the weather condition got better with increased visibility from helicopters. Meanwhile, rescue workers have recovered 16 bodies so far according to Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority.
Accident in Connecticut, US – Four people reportedly died in a wrong-way crash in Guilford, Connecticut.
According to Eric Jackson, Connecticut’s Transportation Institute Director “It seems as though people are really taking a lot more risks than they used to and they really don’t have much care or concern for their own safety or the safety of the people around them.”
