A boat capsized near the town of Boda in Bangladesh on September 25, 2022. The death toll has risen to 61. Many people are still missing.
Meanwhile, the accident is being investigated, but initial reports suggested the boat sunk because it was carrying almost three times its capacity.
The overcrowded boat was carrying Hindu devotees in northern Bangladesh.
