According to police, at least 36 people were killed in what has been described as a child care center massacre in Thailand
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s office referred to the incident as a mass shooting, but an eyewitness said that the attacker also used a knife and most of the deaths were the result of stabbing wounds.
Most of those who lost their lives were children as the incident took place in a kindergarten or a nursery school.
