Angelina Jolie who is a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR,) made her social media debut on Instagram.
In her first Instagram post, she used the social media platform to share a letter that she was sent by a teenage girl from Afghanistan.
This comes after the Afghan government was overthrown by the Taliban. The unnamed girl wrote in the letter that “we are imprisoned again.”
She continues: “Before Taliban came in … we all had rights, we were able to defend our rights freely, but when they come, we are all afraid of them, and we think all our dreams are gone.”
