Manny Pacquiao, the famous boxer turned senator in Phillippine has said that he will run for president in the forthcoming 2022 presidential election in the Phillippines.
Pacquiao was nominated by his PDP-Laban party. While accepting the nomination at its national convention, the 42-yr-old Pacquiao said that the Filipino people have been waiting for a change of government.
Furthermore, Pacquiao said that he is a fighter who will always fight both inside and outside the ring.
In his own words: “I am a fighter, and I will always be a fighter inside and outside the ring.”
“We need government to serve our people with integrity, compassion, and transparency,” he added.
